Will You give me a ride?

Yesterday at about 12:30pm, I was leaving the house to take a bus to KL. Got to be early at Menara TA, to prepare for 5pm. The weather was hot. Had a heavy luggage [computer, microphones, cables, batteries, etc..] to drag along. The bus-stop is at least 400 metres away. My mother said she could send me to the bus-stop, by driving my Dad’s new car. Not wanting to cause inconvenience for her, I said, “No need.”

As I was closing the main gate, I asked our Father [our Creator] to give me a ride.

“Father, will You give me a ride?”

It wasn’t the first time I asked this, since the day I was born. But it was the first time I really asked, instead of “trying”.

I took out my umbrella, opened it and walked towards the bus-stop. I said to myself, it’s ridiculous to expect a free ride to appear immediately at the front of the house. I was ready to take a taxi [since I was running late. I woke up late.], but if I get to board the bus without waiting too long, that’s a great blessing.
