After walking a few hundred metres, I was near the bus-stop; about 100 metres away. At the same time, I was walking pass a row of bungalows. A white car was coming out of a huge bungalow. That bungalow was a “mansion” with orange-colored glossy walls, and the windows looked expensive with their wooden decorations. Driving out of that house was a sharp-looking young Malay man [he looked like royalty.. or he had a high-class kind of face]. As I continued to walk under the hot, sunny skies, I looked at that person for a while, as I was curious to see who actually lives in that big bungalow. I've walked pass that house many times.. Perhaps walked pass it a thousand times by now.
I quickly turned my head to look at the closing gate of that bungalow, when he noticed that I was staring at his face. The auto-gate was really something to behold, not just because of its design, but because it closes really slowly [almost snail-speed]. The gate was closing so slowly that the driver was waiting outside of his house, can’t drive away, until the gate is closed. By the time the gate of that bungalow has shut, I didn’t stop walking, and was almost reaching the bus-stop [another 80 metres to walk].
I was looking in front, heading towards the bus-stop, then I heard this,
“Brother, you need a ride?”
Who said that? Did an angel speak? Did I hear wrongly? Did GOD just talk to me??
I was awestruck for a few seconds.
Quickly recovering from my amazement, I turned and saw that the same Malay guy was driving slowly beside me, and he was speaking fluent English. Why did he speak English? I don’t know why. Don’t ask me. I wasn't carrying a signboard, or a
neon sign, or something. Do I look British/American/Western?
In response to his question, I gave a nod, and asked him, “Where are you going to?”
For the rest of the story, you could meet with me to chat. However, here are some stuff I found out, during the journey to
Kelana Jaya LRT station, with this Malay brother, Johann:
• He was also going to meet someone nearby the same LRT Station
• He thought that I was a student going on my way back to hometown [since it's Saturday]
• He found it funny that I was 23 years old [Oh no.. I got to
eat more, and sleep more!]
• He sees leadership crises everywhere, not just in Malaysia
• He says that good works [or “charity”] should only be done
during leisure time
• He is skillful in sales and marketing
• He used to struggle with speaking English
• He believes that the most important thing he learned in life is,
to listen, and never neglect improving his listening skills
I don’t know how old Johann really is. He looks approximately 28 years old. I can’t remember the brand of the car he was driving. I didn’t get his name-card/business-card/calling-card, because the situation wasn’t appropriate for me to ask. However, I vividly remember that he told me to call out to him, whenever I see him in the neighbourhood. Perhaps Father has given me a new friend, not just a ride.
FATHER can use anyone, regardless of race/culture/
religion/position, to provide anything we need that we dare to ask Him. Brother Israel, on
Friday at Jalan Chow Kit, also edified me with his testimonies that children of GOD never have to worry about their needs. I am encouraged. I know that the True and Living GOD is very willing to encourage you too.
How are you chatting with your Provider? Are you willing to talk less, and listen more when you pray? How do you make your requests to your Father? Are you shouting and demanding with vain chattering? Have you been trying to twist the arms of the Designer who put the
galaxies in space?
I am learning together with you, to interact better with our Creator. Father, Christ and Holy Spirit loves you with an uncanny, unfathomable love.
